In India, there are not many occurrences of HSV or Herpes Simplex Virus,
but of late there have been many reports of the infection in young aged women.
Mostly the cases are that of HSV 2. It is a viral infection that can be
transmitted either orally or sexually and accordingly the virus is classified
as HSV 1 and HSV 2. Like any viral infection, the causes, treatment and
prevention all depends on the extent of the infection and it can be diagnosed
via several tests and procedures.
Current Wave of Infection
With covid outbreak, many individuals suffer decreased immunity power and
several minor health issues. Studies have shown that those with declining
immunity power are more vulnerable to get infected by the HSV virus. They
indicated that it is a very fatal case of the virus. The course of HSV 1 &
2 Treatment has been correlated with the corona virus as both belonged to
viral category. The treatment cost is very expensive and the patients with
minor symptoms also have been analyzed carefully. In case of oral herpes,
blisters are formed around the areas of mouth while in case of sexually
transmitted herpes; blisters are formed around genital parts. In the
above-mentioned case, the patient has blisters around the region of nose.
Overview of Herpes Simplex Infection
Herpes Simplex virus is a highly contagious infection caused by the virus of
the same name. Both HSV 1 Treatment as well as HSV 2
Treatment relies on timely diagnosis of the symptoms followed by
appropriate medical interrogation. In many cases, patients have noticed
symptoms; however there are many incidents where a patient is found to be asymptomatic.
The foremost symptom of the infection is fever and overall feeling of illness
followed by formation of sores or blisters in different parts of the body. The
chances of reoccurrence are high as well especially for those with reduced
immunity. The infection can be spread when you get in contact with a person
already infected by the virus or vis sexual transmission. The extent of this
infection, if left untreated may lead to severe infection including HIV
infection.
Diagnosis and Treatment of HSV
There are no specific tests to confirm the disease in case of asymptomatic.
However, the symptoms are quite visible by bare eyes. A doctor or medical
practitioner may take a sample or swab from the infected area for culture. This
is taken to the lab to identify the presence of the virus in the body. It is
very hard to identify and often mistreated with other infections including
syphilis. The treatment, like other viral infection, may include doses of
antiviral medicines or vaccines. In case of Ayurvedic Treatment, you may give
medications for improving digestion as all the infections have correlation with
your digestive power. These medicines are meant to cure the extent and spread
of the virus and hence improving the immunity power.
